Liz is an award winning artist with 35 years experience as a nationally and internationally recognised dance artist, choreographer and producer. She has been commissioned in India, UK, Australia, South Africa, Singapore, Kuwait and USA and has extensive national and international experience in the community and inclusive dance field.

 

Liz has directed many inclusive dance works across Europe, Asia and Australia. In 2019 she worked with Maya Dance Theatre and DADC in Singapore as part of an Asialink Residency co-establishing DADC, a new company for people living with intellectual disabilities and she sits on the Access group of the National Portrait Gallery. In 2017 Liz was the ACT Artist of the Year, reflecting her initiation of and commitment to developing the ACT arts landscape.

Liz toured her one woman show RED exploring her experiences with Chronic Illness internationally for 5 years and is currently developing a new work, Diamond.

She founded and direct three Festivals: BOLD celebrating the legacy of dance across all identities, DANscienCE, where dance and science meet and I Dance, exploring dance and disability films.

Liz directs The Stellar Company. Stellar activates professionally produced, quality arts practice through a lens of cultural equity, embedded accessibility, social inclusion and sustainability. Over the past 15 years I have directed 15 I Day events across the ACT and internationally.

Born on Gadigal Land, Liz is based on Ngunnawal and Ngambri Land in the ACT.
